Jesus Christ's life serves as a profound example of selfless service and compassion towards others. His entire ministry was dedicated to serving the needs of people, regardless of their social status, ethnicity, or background.

As Christ followers, we are specifically instructed by Jesus in the area of serving others. What it looks like, He says in Mark 10, is that each of us in daily life put our own interests behind the interests and needs of others. So far behind, in fact, that our desire should be that we are consistently meeting the needs of everyone else.

As Christians, serving others is not just a duty, but a calling. It is an expression of our faith, an act of obedience to God, and an opportunity to reflect His love to the world around us. The Bible is filled with teachings and examples of service, from Jesus washing His disciples’ feet to Paul’s tireless work to spread the gospel.
