    How did Chelsea Football Club get its name?
    As Gus Mears founded the Chelsea Football Club, the first version of the Chelsea logo was also created. This first iteration included a side-profile image of the pensioner, which also gave the Club its nickname “The Pensioners.” This pensioner sat within a circular emblem with the words “Chelsea Football Club” around the circle.
