1. Measure your chairs from the bottom of the back of the chair, all the way up and around and down to the front.

2. Measure each side “L” pieces.

3. Choose your fabric. Keep in mind any repeat in the fabric pattern.

4. Pick up a spool of thread to match.

5. Mark your measurements on the back side of the fabric with pencil or chalk.

6. Leave a couple of inches along the bottom of the chair so you can hem the whole piece.

7. Cut out your pieces, leaving about an inch around every edge for seam allowance.

8. Lay your fabric upside down on your chair.

9. Use straight pins to pin the fabric pieces together around the edges of the chair.

10. Use your sewing machine to stitch the whole line you’ve made with your pins, pulling each pin out as you go.

1. Print off the pattern on 8.5x11 sheets of paper. Align the edges of the papers to form full pattern pieces and tape together.

2. Lay the fabric out on a flat surface and place the individual pattern pieces on top of the fabric aligning grainlines.

3. Pin in place or use paper weights, then cut the pattern pieces out along the solid lines.

6. Sew the seat piece to the front side of the chair back piece with the right sides together using a ½” seam allowance.
