Domestic Female Rabbits kindle in a nest/brood box normally on day 31 of their pregnancy (though they occasionally will kindle earlier or later) and when she does, day 1 of the new kits' life begins. They are born blind, deaf, totally helpless, and not too active and fur-less. They will look practically the same until they're about 5-7 days old.

Baby rabbits are called “Kits” and are considered newborns from their birth day until 3 months of age. To be very honest, newborn rabbits look like tiny aliens, cute but weird. Newborn bunnies weigh just 1 oz to 4 oz for the largest rabbit breeds. They are born almost hairless and with both their eyes and ears closed. They are born helpless.

Your rabbit should give birth to all of her babies at once in the nesting box. These babies need to stay snuggled up together to regulate their body heat. However, rarely, rabbits can give birth to a baby outside of the box. It’s not known why this happens, but it’s potentially dangerous. The separated baby will quickly become cold and die.
