To find the Andromeda galaxy in the night sky, you can:
    • Star-hop from the constellation Cassiopeia the Queen, a very noticeable M- or W-shaped pattern on the sky’s dome.
    • Star-hop from the star Alpheratz in the Great Square of Pegasus.
    • Look for it in late September and early October, when it shines in your eastern sky at nightfall, swings high overhead in the middle of the night, and stands rather high in the west at the onset of morning dawn.
    • Look for it in winter evenings.
    • Find it in the constellation Andromeda, and observe it in November when it is best observed with the naked eye, even in areas with moderate light pollution.
