  1. To format a list in Word, you can1234:
    • Create a list by selecting the text and clicking the Numbering or Bullets button on the Home tab.
    • Use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+L for a bullet list or Ctrl+Shift+N for a numbered list.
    • Change the default list format by clicking the arrow next to Numbering or Bullets and choosing Define New Number Format or Define New Bullet.
    • Use a picture instead of a bullet by clicking the arrow next to Bullets and choosing Define New Bullet, then Picture.
    • Create a multilevel list by clicking the Multilevel Lists button on the Home tab and choosing a list style or defining a new one.
