    1. Perceived exertion: Exercise intensity is a subjective measure of how hard physical activity feels to you while you're doing it. Your perceived exertion level may be different from what someone else feels doing the same exercise.
    2. Heart rate: Your heart rate offers a more objective look at exercise intensity. The main methods for determining heart rate is to manually measure the pulse in the wrist or neck, or to use a heart rate monitor. The latter method is more accurate.
