OEW offers wounded veterans the opportunity to physically challenge themselves through overcoming seemingly insurmountable feats. The OEW Team and supporters join alongside our Honorees in a variety of physically challenging events such as obstacle course racing, hand cycling, triathlons and more. Skydiving:

Alabama Veteran hosts an annual Gala to honor Veterans, Military and their families. What better way to do that than to bring a little Vegas night life here to Alabama, filled with laughs, good food and casino games.

The Wounded Veteran and Military Caregiver Employment Award is presented to a company or organization for its demonstrated leadership in addressing the unique employment challenges faced by wounded warriors and military caregivers and providing pathways to economic stability.

Efforts may include up-skilling/re-skilling opportunities, apprenticeship programs, employee resource groups, HR training efforts, volunteer opportunities for veterans in local communities, and other efforts to empower veterans and military spouses as they search for meaningful careers.
