EPS is a vector file format often required for professional and high-quality image printing. PostScript printers and image setters typically use EPS to produce vast, detailed images — such as billboard advertising, large posters, and attention-grabbing marketing collateral.

Since vectors are based around formulas, a vector image can scale at high resolution to virtually unlimited sizes. If you have a business logo saved in a vector format, it can be resized to fit on a billboard with no problems or reduced to be printed on a ballpoint pen or business card. Many printing processes can only work with vector file input.

You can create a high-resolution logo using vector software programs like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, or online tools like Canva, Visme, or Hatchful. For a logo to be considered high-resolution, it should have a minimum of 300 pixels per inch (ppi), but the standard logo size in Photoshop is 500px x 500px.
