If you haven’t saved the file Go to File > Info > Manage Document > Recover Unsaved Workbooks in Excel, or Recover Unsaved Presentations in PowerPoint. Select the file, and then select Open. In the bar at the top of the file, select Save As to save the file.

Open Excel and click on the File menu. Click on Info and then select Manage Workbook. Click on Recover Unsaved Workbooks. Look for files in the Document Recovery pane that match the name of the file you’re trying to recover. Open the recovered file, save it to your desired location, and continue working on it.

Start Excel and then, in the pane on the left, click Open. 2. At the bottom right, click Recover Unsaved Workbooks. 3. Choose the unsaved file from the list of available unsaved workbooks. Use the Recover Unsaved Workbooks command in the Open File window to try to recover lost work.
