To create an organizational chart in Microsoft Word 2016, do the following: 1. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click SmartArt : 2. In the Choose a SmartArt Graphic gallery, click Hierarchy, click an organizational chart layout (such as Organization Chart), and then click OK :

Click the Insert tab > Illustrations group and select SmartArt. In the Choose a SmartArt Graphic gallery, click Hierarchy Select an organization chart layout of your choice. As you click on the different charts, notice the preview on the right hand side. In this example. we’ll select the first option which is simply called Organization Chart.

Go to the Insert tab and go to the Illustrations group and click on SmartArt. The “Choose a SmartArt Gallery” will open. From there, select Hierarchy from the left pane. Then click on the type of chart layout you want, for example, Organizational Chart. Click OK.

Insert SmartArt In the Insert tab, click on the SmartArt dropdown. Choose a SmartArt style Scroll down through the SmartArt options, and hover over the Hierarchy flyout. Choose organizational structure Choose a layout that works for you.
