Biblical justice seeks to protect individual liberty while promoting personal responsibility. It is the equitable and impartial application of the rule of God’s moral law in society. There is no clear and right definition of justice that excludes God. So to grasp justice, we must go to God’s Word.

Justice, according to the Bible, is the concept of people getting what they deserve, whether it is good or bad. It is not just about equality or fairness, but about receiving appropriate consequences based on one’s actions.

The justice of God is always an expression of His perfect, righteous, holy character. Biblically, justice refers to "conformity to a rule or norm."

Because God is just and righteous, he calls us to reflect these same qualities in all we do, say, and think. While “justice” is a difficult term to define, a helpful definition in the context of this discussion is the following: “Justice is the manifestation of God’s righteous character in the world—the execution of God’s righteousness.
