Defensive backs are the last line of defense in flag football. Their primary objective is to prevent the offense from completing passes and making big plays. Typically, there are two defensive backs in a flag football team, positioned further back from the line of scrimmage.

Defensive back. “D-backs” try to stop a running play by ripping off their opponent’s flag. Good defensive backs can anticipate where their opponents are headed. They need quick feet and excellent flag-pulling technique.

Defensive backs - A defensive back’s primary goal is to defend wide receivers and intercept the incoming pass or pull the flags off the ball-carrier’s belt. These positions in football can play either man-to-man or zone, depending on the coach’s strategy and league rules.
