The current recommendation from the NRC (2001) for phosphorus (P) feeding is a range of about 0.32 to 0.42 percent of dietary dry matter content, depending upon level of milk production and stage of lactation. Yet many producers are feeding closer to 0.5 percent for all lactating cows.
