According to a report from Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Bulls are hoping to use the two second-round draft picks they acquired from trading DeMar DeRozan to be used in a trade for Zach LaVine.

James Edwards III of The Athletic reported the Pistons and Bulls have engaged in preliminary conversations about a trade for LaVine. The Bulls would want Bojan Bogdanovic and one other “blue-chip player” on the Pistons roster in exchange for their maximum-contract star, the report said.

The Bulls still appear to be open to a trade for DeMar DeRozan, who has not reached a deal for a veteran extension despite voicing enthusiasm to remain in Chicago long-term. But according to The Athletic’s report, the Bulls have stopped hearing any interest for one key player — Alex Caruso.
