American captain Hilary Knight scores 28 seconds into overtime as Canada falls to the United States 3-2 in the third game of the 2023-24 Rivalry Series. Danielle Serdachny and Clark had the goals for Canada, which outshot the Americans a combined 26-9 in the second and third periods. Desbiens finished with 19 saves.

Hilary Knight's three goals included the winner as the Americans captured their 10th women's world hockey championships gold medal with a 6-3 win over Canada Sunday night. Both of Knight's goals came on the power play after Canada's Brianne Jenner saw the box for tripping and Claire Thompson for delay of game.

Canada defeated the USA 4-2 in the final preliminary round game before the women's hockey quarterfinals at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing. The win gives Canada the No. 1 seed for the quarterfinals and semifinals and puts the USA at the opposite of the knockout bracket.

Blayre Turnbull led all scorers with two goals as Canada used a four-goal second period to fuel a 5-0 win over the U.S. to claim the Rivalry Series. Ella Shelton, Marie-Philip Poulin and Victoria Bach added the others for Canada, which won its fourth straight Wednesday to take the series 4-3.
