Open your Settings. A quick way to do this is to right-click the Windows menu and select Settings, but you can also click the gear icon in the Windows menu. If you haven't already installed the browser you want to use, you'll need to do that first.

In Windows 10, you can set the default browser (and the default for other apps) with the Settings app. Just head to Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Click the button under the "Web Browser" section. The button is named by whatever browser is currently the default. The list of all installed browsers appears.

First, make sure the browser you want to make the default is installed on your PC. Then, launch the Settings app by pressing Windows+i. In Settings, select "Apps." From the sidebar on the left, choose "Default Apps." On the right pane, under "Web Browser," click the current default browser. In the below screenshot, it's Google Chrome.

To change the default browser in Windows 10, go to Start > Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Then click your default web browser and select a new browser from the drop-down list.

To change the default, go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Scroll down the screen and select the browser you wish to set as the default. Click the button for Set default. That action changes the default for most browser-related files, including HTM, HTML, HTTP, and HTTPS.
