In order, I would rank the best times to visit the Eiffel Tower as follows: Sunset – You’ll get to experience the tower by day and by night. Morning (as long as it’s not foggy) – If you get lucky you’ll get gorgeous views and fewer crowds. Night – Imagine the Belle Époque as the city glows beneath you.

In general, to feel more comfortable, it's best to visit at the end of the day after 5 PM, or even in the evening. More information is available on our FAQ. Attendance throughout the week Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest days of the week.

Mid-to-late-evening is pretty much the best time to visit the Eiffel Tower if you want to beat the queues. It’s open until 11PM daily. You’ll probably want to give yourself about 90 minutes to enjoy the first and second floors, and add an extra hour if you’re going all teh way to the top.

We advise you to visit the Eiffel Tower at off-peak times. The number of visitors depends on the time of the year, the weather conditions and the day of the week but queues are usually shorter at the end of the day and in the evenings.
