Previously, Arduino IDE would sometimes hang on startup if the user had previously installed @earlephilhower's excellent "Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040" boards platform. Compatibility with that platform has now been restored.

Feb 21, 2023 · Has the OP tried using the desktop version of the Arduino IDE? I've not switched to the newer IDE version because I note the many issues involving ESP32's. The OP may be encountering another IDE/ESP32 version incompatibility.

You could also write a program on your PC to receive the data and save it into a file.
