  1. CVA Wolf 209 Magnum | Arkansas Hunting

Jul 9, 2013 · I have a CVA Wolf. I use two Pyrodex pellets, for a 100 grain charge. It shoots both Powerbelt and T/C saboted bullets just fine. Accuracy is just fine at 100 yards as long as you clean the barrel fouling after every 2-3 shots. With the 209 primers, the thing is gonna fire! It's a …

  2. Cva wolf - Arkansas Hunting

Jun 10, 2014 · My Wolf shoots the Powerbelt bullets and the Hornady 240 grain 44 cal pistol bullets. The Powerbelts are easier to load and leave less fouling. I think the Hornady bullets and sabots foul the barrel up more. They are just as accurate for the first or second shot. After three or four shots you really have to scrub the bore to maintain accuracy.

  3. Coyote or Wolf? - Arkansas Hunting

Feb 2, 2023 · A few times in my life I wondered if I was seeing a really big coyote or a wolf in Arkansas or driving across the plains in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas and Nebraska. Then I saw some real wolves in northern Minnesota and I knew that I'd never seen a wolf before.

  4. Which earth anchor? | Arkansas Hunting

Oct 15, 2013 · Then changed to Wolf fang's...By my math, you can rig a hundred of either for about the same price with the driver for whichever one you choose. Now I'm kinda leaning toward Fox Hollow super stakes. I'm just wondering if they can really be used over and over without breaking, which is the major drawback of the other 2, having to re-rig frequently.

  5. Lone Wolf or Other Climbers | Arkansas Hunting

Nov 4, 2010 · I use the Lone Wolf hand climber and it is hands down the best climber I have ever owned. Comfortwise it's not on the top of the list, but I can easily do 10-15 all day sits a year in it. The trade off of comfort for weight, silence and packability is well worth it. It climbs easy, its the quietest and most rock solid stand I have used.

  6. Finished with earth anchors in rocky soil. | Arkansas Hunting

Dec 1, 2013 · I have used these with great success in central and south Arkansas and think the wolf fang is one of the best disposable earth anchors on the market. That said, I don't think any brand is a good idea in rocky soil. The wolf fang earth anchor did great by itself but the driver did not. The driver bent before I put out a half dozen traps.

  8. Are There Wolves in Arkansas? - Arkansas Hunting

Dec 7, 2012 · In the early part of the 20th century extensive predator control program basically wiped out the entire red wolf population. Only two populations of red wolf were believe to exist by the late 1930s. One in the Ozarks/Quachita Mountain region of Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma and one in southeastern Texas and southern Louisiana.

  9. Shooting regular powder through a cva wolf? | Arkansas Hunting

Nov 4, 2012 · Well, sure, you COULD shoot regular smokeless powder in your Wolf. Just make sure you have your death and disability insurance paid up. The gun may fire 1, 2, or many times before it fails spectacularly. Do some simple investigations before risking your life. As said in earlier posts, BP or an approved substitute are the ONLY propellants to use.
