Why Does the Pink Color in a Titration Fade Over Time?
Jan 31, 2005 · The absorption happens fairly slowly and a faint pink endpoint will gradually fade. Adding more NaOH after the faint endpoint is reached (producing a darker endpoint) will cause the pink solution to persist much longer but also results …
Aurora Forecast - Geophysical Institute
4 days ago · The aurora is most often seen as a striking green, but it also occasionally shows off other colors, ranging from red to pink or blue to purple. Oxygen at about 60 miles up gives off the familiar green-yellow color, while oxygen at higher altitudes (about 200 miles above Earth’s surface) gives all-red auroras.

Explaining the Result of Adding AgNO3 to Test Tube #6 - Physics …
Mar 21, 2009 · blue <=> pink Question: Add a very small amount of AgNO 3 to test tube #6. Stopper the test tube and shake. The solution in test tube turned pink, so I interpreted that as a shift to the products. Also, a precipitate (proper term? a solid was present...) formed. The Attempt at a Solution Now I have to offer an explanation for why this occurred.
Plasma Color: What Makes It Blue & What Colors It Can Be?
Jan 6, 2011 · Depends on the lamp. Incandescents - while don't contain plasma - emit the light just because wire is hot. In gas discharge lamps atoms (or molecules) get excited by collisions with electrons or other ions/atoms that were accelerated by the electric field between electrodes, then they emit photons when falling back to lower energy states.
Affects of Adding Water to Cobalt Chloride Equilibrium - Physics …
Feb 15, 2010 · [tex] Pink \Leftrightarrow Blue [/tex] We're learning about Le Chatelier's Principal. My question is: Why does the reaction shift the left when adding [tex] H_{2}O [/tex]? Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution My first thought was that stress is being added to the right side of the equation and so equilibrium shifts left.
Why does my Patton-Reeder indicator immediately turn blue?
Dec 13, 2019 · So I made a new solution, adjusted to pH 12, and this time it turned pink. I added the EDTA, then it turned blue. No idea what went wrong the first time, maybe too much indicator so the pink looked purple / blue. Anyway, now back on track! Thanks Borek, otherwise I would have ended up with some concoction of magnesium, potassium, sodium etc etc.
