The Norfolk & Suffolk League was a football league covering the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk in England . The league was established in 1897, starting with six clubs, Beccles Caxton, Great Yarmouth Town, Kirkley, Lowestoft Town, Lynn Town and Norwich CEYMS. [1]

The League provides Saturday football for the central and southern areas of Norfolk and for parts of the north Suffolk area covering some 1,500 square miles (3,900 km 2) in total. The league is affiliated to the Norfolk County Football Association .

The Central and South Norfolk League (currently known under the terms of a sponsorship deal as the Central & South Norfolk League sponsored by Barnes Print) is a football competition based in England. It was founded in 1905 and has a total of five divisions. The top division, Division One, sits at level 17 of the English football league system.

The Norfolk & Suffolk League fixture was played in Norwich and finished 1–0 to Norwich City. Norwich turned professional in 1905 with Ipswich following in 1936. Ipswich Town was elected to the Football League in 1938, and the first fully professional league game between the two clubs took place on 2 September 1939 in the Third Division South.
