Hanovre (en allemand : Hannover /haˈnoːfɐ/ ; en bas allemand : Hannober) est une ville du nord de l'Allemagne, capitale du Land de Basse-Saxe et située au bord de la rivière Leine. Avec environ 535 930 habitants (2021), elle est la plus grande ville du Land et la troisième plus grande du Nord de l'Allemagne après Hambourg et Brême. Elle fait partie de la région métropolitaine de Hanovre-Brunswick-Göttingen-Wolfsbourg
