  1. To build your own DIY concrete basketball court, you need to12:
    1. Choose the size and location of your court that is reasonably flat and has enough space for the hoop and the court surface tiles.
    2. Purchase the hoop and the court surface tiles of your choice.
    3. Level the ground by removing vegetation and adding or removing dirt.
    4. Set concrete forms and square the corners. Add gravel fill to four inches below the top of the forms.
    5. Pour concrete from one end of the form to the other and smooth the surface with a float.
    6. Install the hoop according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    7. Install the court surface tiles over the concrete slab and paint the line markings.
    8. Accessorize your court with nets, lights, benches, etc.
